It was one of the most anticipated rap albums of the summer but, for some eager fans, it’s no longer a secret: Eminem’s “Recovery” is already available online, despite being two weeks until official release. Em’s forthcoming studio material has leaked on the web, to the dismay of the rapper, who is thus seeing the same scenario as with “Relapse” replicated, InfoCuts reports.

Earlier this year, Eminem was saying he initially set out to record and come out with “Relapse 2,” which would be a follow-up to the first album of the same name. With the passing of the weeks, though, he realized the material he was working on was different, therefore needed to be released separately from “Relapse.” This way, “Recovery” came to be, an album that was not supposed to come out until June 22 this year.

“Recovery is the name of the upcoming album of Eminem. But a tragedy hit Eminem when he heard the news of the leakage of his upcoming album. The new album was supposed to be released two weeks from now. The new album was a continuity of his last album, Relapse that was released in the year 2009. Eminem was very confident about his new album. The first track of the album was already released with the video. The audience accepted the track whole-heartedly and Eminem expected the same sort of response for the rest of the album,” InfoCuts reports.

“The leakage of the album on the Internet will for sure affect the sales of the album. The song that was officially released by Eminem was called Not Afraid. Eminem’s album, Relapse was not a huge hit as his previous albums were but Recovery is expected to be better. Eminem is not the first artist who went through this trauma,” the same report goes on to say. Those covering the story refuse to include any links to the leaked material, revealing only the tracklist and inviting fans to wait until the official release date and purchase the album then.

At the same time, some of those who got a chance to listen to a few tracks that have made the cut on “Recovery” promise the wait will be well worth it. Not only will the album include surprising and very good collaborations (with Pink and Rihanna, to name just two of them), but it will also bring to the table a fresh sound that still retains some of the aggressive notes that made Eminem such a hit in the industry when he first broke on the scene.
