As you can see for yourself, Eminem looks pretty dead-eyed in it, saying nothing to the camera until the end, when he turns to Kerry and simply says, “I love cupcakes.”
Before you think the worst of the rapper, a bit more context is needed to get the joke: in September this year, Eminem did an interview with ESPN during a halftime show and he pulled the dead-eyed prank on the fans and the ESPN reporters.
He did it so well that the video went viral in hours and got many talking about how he was back on drugs or booze, or both at the same time. The least pessimistic scenarios said that Em was incredibly rude and so infatuated with his own celebrity status that he wouldn’t even “deign” to give a proper interview.
Eminem is still having the last laugh, you just know it.
