Rise and shine dear gamers, European gamers that is. Eidos has confirmed that Kane & Lynch: Dead Men has officially launched today, for your PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 or PC. As you can see, the guys behing the Tomb Raider franchise thought that everyone should be able to play this title, launching it on two next-gen systems but also for Windows users. "We can't wait for people to experience Kane & Lynch for the first time, it plays like a best-selling thriller that you simply can't put down," said Fabien Rossini. "IO Interactive has created a highly intense and entertaining gameplay experience with unique and engaging characters; everything from the single-player experience, co-op and multiplayer gameplay will be sure to blow people away."

For those who don't know much about Eidos' upcoming gritty title, Kane & Lynch: Dead Men revolves around two men bound by circumstance as they're waiting on their death row for the final sentence. One is a flawed mercenary, while the other is a medicated psychopath. Deadly mix, you have to agree. Anyway, as the game's plot says, the two are forced to embark on a violent and chaotic journey, hating each other every step of the way.

Generally, when the plot revolves not around two men, but around a man and a woman who hate each other's guts throughout their journey, they tend to fall in love towards the end of the story. That's just how these stories usually go. So let's hope that having two men as protagonists in this game will leave things the way they are or at the most, that we'll see them become beer pals.

PlayStation World Magazine has high hopes for the title, claiming "This'll be the co-op shooter to beat in 2007" while PC Gamer reckons that Kane & Lynch Dead Men "could be one of the best pure action games."

Here's the game's official website if you need even more information to convince yourself that Kane & Lynch: Dead Men is a must have title.
