Electronic Arts has started offering refunds to buyers of the PC version of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12, due to its low quality, at least according to reports on the web.

EA is quite keen on keeping its Tiger Woods PGA franchise alive and profitable, especially after the problems of pro golfer Tiger Woods. With the recent release in the series, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters, things have gone quite well, as it has impressed quite a few fans loyal to the golfing simulator franchise earlier this year when it appear on consoles like the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 or Nintendo Wii.

On the PC, however, things haven't exactly been so smooth, as this version of the game, released on September 6, is worse than the console ones in terms of quality, wit an overly simplified single-player mode, without many of the options available on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 or even Wii editions.

What's more, the multiplayer mode can be accessed via the premium Tiger Woods Online PC service. Players get three months of free access, but after that, they need to pay up if they want to keep on playing against other virtual golfers.

Many fans have even compared it to the free-to-play Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online, saying it just has a few small features added that don't justify the full price tag.

As you can imagine, a lot of PC customers have started expressing their rage at EA via its forums or through other websites on the web.

It seems that EA is now aware of this and is making it up to those that are feel wronged. According to quite a few disgruntled customers, via Eurogamer, the company is now offering full refunds to those that contact EA Support through its Livechat feature.

There's no official word from Electronic Arts just yet, but, if this turns out to be true, it might really help improve its image after putting out a low quality product on the PC, while focusing more on consoles. This is still pretty disappointing, as EA went on the record saying that the same great golfing simulator experience will be delivered on all platforms.
