E-TEN has announced in a press release on their website the launch of their first 3G enabled smartphone during the CeBIT international trade show that will take place in Hanover, Germany from March 15 to 21. According to the same press release, the device will be launched during late 2007 under E-TEN's commercial brand, Glofiish.

The handheld will be presented during a public demonstration and is supposed to run a Windows Mobile 6 Crossbow Professional operating system that will enable the handset's users to use richer ways of editing emails and documents and to profit from the OSs more powerful mobile functions and improved usability.

The mentioned device is also going to have on its spec sheet WCDMA, GSM and HSPDA radios, WLAN Wi-Fi technology, built-in GPS capabilities, a 400 MHz Samsung CPU and 128 MB ROM.

That is all E-TEN has mentioned about their first ever 3G enabled handheld so I have no idea what its name is going to be or how the handset is going to look like.

If you are going to go at CeBIT to see its live demonstration you will also have the occasion to get closer to two other representatives of the Glofiish phone line-up, namely the X500 their thinnest Pocket PC and the M700 which features a sliding QWERTY keyboard.

That's everything one can mention about the future to be launched E-TEN 3G smartphone, no price tag or exact release date being mentioned by its manufacturer.

Be sure you check back with us because, if anything new about this subject comes to surface, we will keep you posted.
