14 DAY TRIAL // Just when she seemed to have gotten her life back on track, having overcome an addiction to class A drugs that was nearly the end of her, Amy Winehouse falls of the wagon again and makes a complete fool of herself. The Grammy-winning singer went out for a drink the other day that turned into a 16-hour binge, ending with her collapsed on a bench, The Sun informs.
Amy has been having problems with her new boyfriend, film director Reg Traviss, who is reportedly only dating her because she is able to generate a lot of media for his latest film, which was released just recently. On Monday, she went out to have a drink with friends and thus forget about her problems – but she turned the outing into a massive partying tour that included at least 3 pubs, 2 restaurants and her passing out outside of a pub, on a bench.
“The Back to Black singer, who has famously battled drink and drugs, was snapped outside the boozer owned by her film producer fella Reg Traviss’ parents. When she woke up, she was nearly run over as she stumbled across a street on the way to her nearby home, where she sat talking into her phone. Amy, 26, took a taxi to Inn 1888 in London’s Marylebone after a session with pals that began at 5pm Monday. During the 16-hour marathon she had visited two other pubs and two restaurants – at one point kissing model Mischa Barton and at another strolling with comic Russell Brand’s dad Ron,” The Sun writes.
A taxi driver took Amy to her home and can vouch she was completely out of it. “She was totally gone. She’d no idea what she was doing. She said her boyfriend had no respect for her and was blubbing away – I gave her a tissue. A car nearly hit her as she walked in the road. It had to brake really hard,” he says for the same publication. The photo printed in The Sun, with Amy collapsed and totally out of it on a table, seems to confirm the above story.
Even after she made her way home, Amy seemed determined not to go inside and catch some sleep to revive herself. Instead, she sat down on the steps of her house and talked on the phone for quite a while – or had words, more like, as she appeared quite upset by the time she hung up.
