All fan feedback is taken into consideration by BioWare for the next game

BioWare, the developer behind the recent Dragon Age 2 role playing game, was surprised to see that many users didn't enjoy the more streamlined game and demanded that it should have stuck more closely to its predecessor, Dragon Age: Origins.

Dragon Age 2 was released back in March and the general reaction was polarizing, to say the least, as many fans of the first game didn't like the more action-oriented gameplay, while gamers new to the series praised it for its streamlined mechanics.

BioWare was surprised by this reaction, at least according to its co-founder, Ray Muzyka, who told Xbox World magazine, via CVG, that the studio will take all this feedback into consideration for the all-but-confirmed Dragon Age 3.

"Our goal is to take all the feedback we get on any of our franchises and use it to make the next game in the franchise better," Muzyka said."Dragon Age 2 was incredibly polarizing and it caught us off-guard, honestly. It appealed to a new fanbase and we were delighted by that, but we've heard fans who wanted more of the Origins experience. We have to take all that feedback and find a way to marry those together, so we can bring everyone on the journey with us."

BioWare promised several times before that the voices of Dragon Age fans will be heard when work starts on the third game, but, until then, it's already trying to make amends with the downloadable add-ons already released, like Legacy, or those scheduled to appear, including Mark of the Assassin.

Until then, however, BioWare's various internal teams are focusing on two major projects, Mass Effect 3, an sci-fi RPG scheduled to appear on March 6, 2012, and Star Wars: The Old Republic, an online MMORPG which is out on December 20, North American, and December 22, in Europe.
