Dragon Age 2 made quite a few interesting changes to the classes of the game, with the mage feeling much more dynamic and versatile, the rogue feeling a bit more powerful, especially when it comes to wielding bows, while the warrior retaining its already impressive offensive skills.

Unfortunately, if you choose to play as a warrior specialized in two-handed swords, you'll be in for quite a lot of problems, especially when it comes to bosses or the fights towards the end of the game.

[admark=1]No matter how powerful you may be, no matter how many ability points you poured into strength, or how many offensive talents you unlocked, your attacks will barely manage to make dents in the health bars of your enemies.

Unless you carefully coordinate your attacks with your companions, by using things like cross class combos, either you setting them up to do massive damage by leaving enemies staggered, or them setting you up by leaving opponents brittle or disoriented, you'll spend a lot of time just swinging your huge sword around for nothing.

This becomes very annoying at the end of the second act, when you get to fight the Qunari Arishok. You can choose to either defend your honor through a regular duel, or deny him that pleasure and fight alongside your team of companions.

Seeing as how honor was essential to my version of Hawke, the hero of the game, I chose to duel, meaning we would face off in a small arena.

I knew he'd be a tough enemy to defeat, but the ensuing battle was ridiculous, to say the least. My attacks barely made any dent in his health bar, while he unleashed a wide array of attacks as soon as I got near him.

After using up 15 or so health and stamina potions, as well as after spending a big amount of time running around the arena while the Arishok was chasing me, I decided to just reload my previous save and battle the big Qunari boss with the help of my comrades, who managed to heal me in time (Anders), keep him in check with area of effect attacks (Varric) and sneak up on him while I kept his attention (Isabela).

Alone, as a two-handed warrior, I would've never made it out the arena alive.

Hopefully, for those who also choose to play as such warriors, BioWare will try to balance things out in future patches, as the fun factor dies quickly when you can barely damage enemies, even on the easiest difficult setting.
