14 DAY TRIAL // The latest version of Dolphin Browser HD for Android is now available for download via the Android Market, following a short period of beta testing.
The development team behind the application notes that the new release offers a series of adjustments brought to the user interface, along with other improvements.
Moreover, the new release comes with hardware acceleration support for tablet PCs powered by Google's Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system.
These changes were the result of user feedback, the company notes, adding that most of these enhancements were included in the beta release.
“This upgrade is special introducing an upgrade to UI adjustments. You will find interface changes in Bookmarks Sidebar, Bookmarks Folder Page, Settings, and Gesture page,” the company notes in a recent blog post.
The company also notes that a range of other improvements and bug-fixes would also be present with this release.
Some of the main changes in the new version of the app would include:
- Improved stability - A bunch of bug fixes on Xoom - Add 10 more actions to Gesture & animation in Gesture list - Refine interface of bookmarks side bar & bookmarks folder page - Refine interface of Settings page and adjust options’ order - Update select text: add magnifier & translation feature - Update Dolphin Translate add-on - Add action when long pressing blank area in webpage - Add Hardware Acceleration support for Android 3.0 device
In addition to announcing the availability of the new flavor of Dolphin Browser HD, the company also announced that it plans on making available a new add-on in the near future.
Called Dolphin Translate, it would be the same Google Translate Add-on that the company came up with a while ago, but which disappeared from the Android Market for a long period of time.
“And you can use it together with select text in main app – Dolphin HD. Not only the entire webpage, you can choose to translate your wanted sentence. Try it out and Let us know how it works for you,” the company notes.
