Discovery Network has just made it clear that mobile phone users will have the chance from now on to enjoy their favorite TV shows even when on the road. The great advantage that handsets bring is that of great mobility and they plan on making their broadcast available anywhere and at any time for their viewers.

There are tons of addicts of the TV shows that Discovery Networks has to offer. They are not only informative, but also entertaining. It's exactly this balance between fun and science that has made many of these programs so popular.

Unfortunately, only two channels from the many parts of Discovery Networks will be broadcasted on mobile phones too from now on. Animal Planet is one of the oldest and also most appreciated sources of documentaries on animals. Its content will be offered on-demand under the form of a one-hour weekly loop of the most interesting broadcasts of this channel. This includes the award-winning Meerkat Manor and Crocodile Hunter Diaries, two of the most popular shows on Animal Planet.

The other channel that the network will have to offer to mobile phone users is Discovery Turbo. This brings programming about cars, bikes, boats and planes, all the technology that drives the interest of some people. The channel has been launched quite recently this spring, but has already proved to be a success.

The mobile version of Discovery Turbo will be available on-demand and updated every weekday. It will be packaged in 20 minute batches and is set to bring the most interesting sequences from TV shows like The Garage and American Chopper.

Discovery Networks will also include behind-the-scenes sneak peaks, show highlights, exclusive talent interviews and information guides, just the things that real fans get thrilled over. The mobile version of Animal Planet and Discovery Turbo will be available as part of the Sky Mobile package.
