Although nobody has ever made a dream out of being a waitress and serving tables in a restaurant, Diner Dash has proved to be quite successful. The game is one of those addictive concepts that have managed to glue people to the screens of their PC and now it aims at mobile phone users too.

Glu has just released the mobile version of Diner Dash 2, with the same challenge and similar highly entertaining concept to solve. The game asks the player to take orders form people, serve them in time, before they lose their patience and then clear the table for receiving other customers.

That sounds like a highly easy task to live up to. Still, once the number of customers increases, it turns out to be even more difficult to manage to respond to the needs of all the people entering the diner. The reward is made of tips, as many and high as possible.

"Thanks to the work that PlayFirst has done on the PC and our success with the original mobile version of the game, the Diner Dash franchise is one of the biggest hits in the casual gaming industry", said Jill Braff, senior vice president of global publishing, Glu. Moreover, "Glu's exceptional capabilities in bringing our games to cell phones have extended the reach of Flo and the Diner Dash franchise into the pockets of people everywhere, helping to build Diner Dash into the casual gaming phenomenon that it is today", said Rich Roberts, vice president of business development of PlayFirst.

Diner Dash 2 follows the huge success of the Diner Dash game which has been sold in over one million copies and has also been awarded as the best puzzle game of year 2006. The mobile phone version of the sequel will be available starting this fall for handset players everywhere.
