More and more budget slates are trying to attract customers by blending the capabilities of a phone with those of a tablet. This is the case of manufacturing company Nippon Klick that unleashed its latest tablet endeavor, the Digma Plane 7.0 3G slate, on the Russian market.

The device doesn't bring any mind-blowing specifications, but we’re already used to that when it comes to wallet-friendly devices produced by no-names.

The Digma Plane comes sporting a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. A dual-core CPU clocked at 1GHz coupled with 1GB of RAM is what keeps it alive, THG reports. 8GB of storage is offered with the slate, with the possibility of extending it to 32GB via the microSD card.

The photography department is not neglected either, as Nippon Klick has bundled a 2MP rear camera plus a VGA frontal one. The slate supports dual SIM cards and runs Android 4.1.2 out of the box.

Other functionalities you’ll find on the slate are 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and GPS. The 2800 mAh will not last very long, so don’t forget to keep your charger close. The Digma Plane can be purchased for $214 / €160.

This is actually quite a chunky price for what is offered here, especially when you consider there are other more exciting products on the market. For example, the NVIDIA Tegra Note 7 costs only $199 / €147 and bundles powerful hardware and some innovative pieces of technology.
