After confirming that it's shipped more than 2 million units of its Deus Ex: Human Revolution role playing shooter, Square Enix has confirmed that it has sold more than 2.18 million copies since the game's release back in August.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution was released as a prequel to the critically acclaimed Deus Ex launched at the beginning of the 2000s, and impressed many with its high quality gameplay that combined shooter and role playing elements into a great mix.

Square Enix, its publisher, has now confirmed some sales figures for the title, while presenting its financial results, saying that 2.18 million copies have been sold worldwide.

It seems that Europeans were more attracted by the recent game, as Square Enix revealed that 1.38 million units were sold in the old continent, while 800,000 copies were scooped up by North American gamers.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution received its first piece of story-based DLC last month, in the form of The Missing Link.
