Microsoft continues to bet big on Windows RT, even if though lots of people are actually criticizing the operating system for the lack of support for desktop applications.

As a result, sales are rather slow, but there’s one company that expects things to change significantly in the coming months.

Neil Hand, vice president and general manager of Dell’s tablet and performance PC business, told BusinessWeek that users who went for Windows RT were actually very pleased with their tablet, hinting that, in the end, it was just a matter of educating consumers on the differences from Windows 8 Pro.

“We’ve found that customers using it are really, really happy,” he said. “There just aren’t enough of them knowing what it is, and why they should use it.”

Dell is already selling a Windows RT tablet, the XPS 10, but the company is planning to release an update sometime this year, the report adds citing sources familiar with the matter.
