Very promising title brings us bikers and freedom

The 1960's, bikers, West Coast, gang battles, hippie culture, drinking, drugs and rock 'n roll - all these and even more adult-oriented activities are the things we're going to get in the next open world, freeform-style game from Deep Silver called Ride to Hell. And this is one of the few titles which manage to turn me into a fanatic, even though I basically know nothing about them. However, one thing is certain: this title, if done flawlessly, will be a huge history-making one. (Of course, it's easier for game developers to completely screw a project, so I'm waiting to see some actual gameplay footage first).

Ride to Hell will try to bring us the fascinating atmosphere surrounding the biker movement in the late 60s, with all the conflict, drama and freedom surrounding it. Players will have to ride full throttle with their gang on a multitude of different vehicles through the dusty flats of Western America. We'll have to protect our own lives, our brothers and our glorious machines from rival gangs, as well as live our virtual biker lives just as the real persons did back when this entire phenomenon started.

"Ride to Hell is one of Deep Silver's largest global multiplatform game launches to date and one that will put Deep Silver on the map in the US," says Hannes Seifert, Managing Director at the Deep Silver development studio. "Ride to Hell captures the spirit of the biker movement in the 1960s, while delivering an authentic, action-packed game play experience."

The developers warn, however, that the game will not be suitable for the faint of heart (or minors, we'd dare to believe) but those who will try it, will experience an authentic and massive game created in Hollywood style and meant to show everybody that great, innovative and truly unique games can still be made. Personally, I really wish Deep Silver manages to create a title as promised - it's a really difficult task, though and I'm still afraid it could fail badly. But time will tell, for sure.
