Techland and Deep Silver are set to deploy a new downloadable add-on for Dead Island today, February 1, in the form of the Ryder White DLC, so the two companies have just released a trailer with gameplay footage from the expansion. Dead Island, despite its initial technical flaws, delighted
millions of gamers from all over the world with its surprisingly deep role playing mechanics, not to mention the addictive zombie killing gameplay.
Now, the game is set to receive a fresh bit of DLC, in the form of the single-player Ryder White campaign, which acts as a prequel to the game and puts players in the shoes of the main villain, Ryder White.
In order to get people excited about the add-on’s release today, a fresh video has been launched, showcasing gameplay footage, as well as bits of story that show White’s more humane side, not to mention plenty of gory zombie kills.
The Ryder White DLC is out on February 1 for Dead Island on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, costing $9.99/€9.99 or 800 MS Points.
