Just look deep into his eyes..."You need a Motorola RAZR2...need it!"

A naked David Beckham sells mobile phones way better than a fully dressed one, seems to have been Motorola's thought behind their promoting campaign that they started in Korea for the RAZR2 mobile phone. This makes it shocking and appealing at the same time, with high chances of reaching even more markets than initially planned.

David Beckham has signed a contract that makes him the main figure promoting Motorola RAZR2 in Korea. Still, the campaign is so intriguing, that many other people around the world have reacted to it. It would be difficult to stand on a neutral side in this matter, as few other men have agreed to get down naked in order to make a specific product sell.

The message of the campaign, if anyone gets to read the text that accompanies the picture of the shirtless football player, is "Become Beckham!". Giving it a bit of thought, the message aims both at the male and female audience. Men might be tricked into believing that by purchasing the Motorola RAZR2 handset, they will have a chance to be as attractive and successful as the football player. Women, on the other hand, might understand the message as "Become Lady Beckham!", although this is not necessarily Motorola's thought behind the message. Or is it?

It would seem that David Beckham is the best choice for making just about anything sell well as long as it efficiently lends its charm. The killer look is strong enough to do that and might just boost Motorola's Korean sales for their RAZR2 mobile phone.

The image of the British football star wearing a RAZR2 handset on a chain around his neck is only one of the bunch that has invaded Korea. Two others, showing him in an elegant suit also look sexy, although in the trashy way that male models look when obviously posing as sex symbols.
