Harmonix and MTV Games have announced that those who are enjoying controller free dancing on the Xbox 360 using the Kinect-powered Dance Central are able to get access to three new songs to wave around to, from artists Rihanna, Janet Jackson and Blur.

The tracks are coming today, December 21, and will introduce even more variety to Dance Central, which already includes pop, funk, hip hop, rhythm and blues and Latin songs.

Rihanna contributes “Disturbia,” which is taken from her third album “Good Girl Gone Bad,” released in 2008 and which got a nomination for Best Dance Recording at the Grammy Awards for 2009.

Blur are set to deliver their hit “Girls & Boys,” which manages to easily mix alternative rock sentiment with very dance-ready beats and which got up to the number four position in the United States Billboard Modern Rock chart.

Janet Jackson is making her debut in Dance Central with the songs “Control,” taken from the album that bears the same name, released in 1986 and that managed to take the Best R&B/Soul or Rap Music Video at the Soul Train Music Awards in 1988.

The new tracks join other already available DLC like The Black Eyed Peas – “I Gotta Feeling”; Cameo – “Word Up!”; Lady Sovereign – “I Got You Dancing”; Ne-Yo – “Because of You”; Sean Paul – “Temperature” and Tag Team – “Whoomp! (There It Is)”.

All the songs offered cost 240 Microsoft Points, which is the equivalent of about 3 dollars, depending on how you acquire the Microsoft currency. Dance Central is the first party dance title which takes advantage of the Kinect motion tracking system form Microsoft, allowing players to actually perform complex moves with their bodies while watching an on screen avatar.
