Five accessories for the smartphone are sold separately

After weeks of excitement Verizon and Motorola have finally made the DROID BIONIC official. The smartphone will be exclusively available for purchase from Verizon beginning September 8 for $299.99 with a new two-year agreement

However, customers who want to purchase the DROID Bionic will need to subscribe to a Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk plan beginning at $39.99 and a smartphone data package starting at $30 monthly access for 2GB of data.

Most of the rumors regarding the superphone's specs sheet have been confirmed, as DROID BIONIC comes with a dual-core 1GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and a huge 4.3-inch qHD capacitive multi-touch display.

In addition, Verizon and Motorola offer no less than five accessories for the DROID Bionic, which will be sold separately starting tomorrow.

A $299.97 worth of lapdock will be available for purchase, along with a HD Station that can be acquired for $99.99.

Furthermore, an adapter for Webtop Application will be available for $29.99, while the Vehicle Navigation Dock that provides users access to maps, favorite contacts, hands-free calling, music, navigation and supports streaming of audio and music via the 3.5 mm audio jack to play through vehicle speakers, can be bought for $39.99.

Last, but not least, a battery dock with standard battery can be purchased via Verizon for no less than $49.99.

It is also worth mentioning that Costco offers the DROID Bionic for the same price, but includes a bonus pack comprising of some of these accessories.

The LTE-enabled DROID Bionic supports Verizon's 4G LTE network with download speeds of 5 to 12 Mbps and upload speeds of 2 to 5 Mbps.

Software-wise, the smartphone comes with ZumoCast, an application developed by Motorola that allows customers to add all their multimedia content, as well as documents from their computers to their DROID BIONIC handset via remote access.

The phone is powered by Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread and offers users the option to use a full-featured Firefox Web browser 4.0 via a dedicated Webtop application.

Other highlights of the superphone include: an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with 1080p HD video recording, MOTOPRINT app to print via Wi-Fi-enabled printers, Mirror Mode with HDMI out supporting 1080p HD video playback, 16 GB of internal memory and 16 GB microSD card pre-installed.
