14 DAY TRIAL // Leading Japanese mobile phone carrier NTT DOCOMO is set to deliver to the market a number of 9 new handsets that will run under the Symbian operating system, a recent post on the Symbian Blog shows. The company, which will deliver 19 handsets in total during this winter season, will also have the said 9 Symbian phones delivered to its users, 4 of which are manufactured by Fujitsu, while the other 5 come from Sharp.
According to DOCOMO, the new mobile phones will reach the market packed with a wide range of capabilities that should fit the needs of users, including Internet browsing features, email capabilities, high resolution photo snappers for image enthusiasts (a 12MP cameraphone is included in the list), music playback features, TV watching while on the go, waterproof devices, as well as other more.
The aforementioned device that will sport a 12.2 megapixel camera, as you can see in the list below, comes from Fujitsu, and the same applies to the waterproof handset. At the same time, there is also a two-part phone from the company. As for the Sharp devices, the list includes a QWERTY handset that sports a 3.7-inch touchscreen display, as well as some fashionable phones and a stylish device, the SH-02B.
The four mobile phones that will come from Fujitsu are said to be: - docomo PRIME series F-01B: High-spec waterproof phone with 12.2-megapixel camera – available now. - docomo STYLE series F-02B: Jewellery-quality waterproof phone with a tiny, snap-on perfume holder – available now. - docomo SMART series F-03B: Slim, waterproof phone with luxurious design and 12.2-megapixel camera – available soon. - docomo PRIME series F-04B: High-spec phone with 12.2-megapixel camera and the world’s first separable two-module body – available March to April 2010.
As for the handsets that will arrive at the carrier from Sharp, they are: - docomo PRIME series SH-01B: CCD 12.1-megapixel camera and crystal-pattern body – available now. - docomo STYLE series SH-02B: Crystal-patterned body surface with elegant illumination and smooth curves – available now. - docomo PRO series SH-03B: Large 3.7-inch touch screen and QWERTY keyboard for quick, smooth operation – available February 2010. - docomo STYLE series SH-04B: Melting Sweet Chocolate model designed by accessory-maker – available soon. - docomo STYLE series SH-05B: Dream teen phone designed by top models of Seventeen magazine – available February 2010.
