CrossOver Games 7.2.0 Improves Support for WoW, Spore

CrossOver Games, the application that allows Mac Intel users to run most Windows PC games on Mac OS X, has just received an update, adding improvements for City of Heroes, fixes for Guild Wars, improved support for Spore, World of Warcraft, and more. General DirectX improvements will allegedly improve many other games as well.

For those who aren't very familiar with the software, CrossOver Games allows users to run their favorite Windows games on an Intel Mac. CrossOver bridges directly between Windows software and OS X, unlike similar products which run the Windows operating system on a virtual machine. This allows applications to run at greater speeds on a user's Mac.

According to the release notes for CrossOver Games 7.2.0, the team of developers was able to fix Guild Wars bugs on ATI Macs with OS X 10.5.5, added steam:// link support for OS X, fixed Steam+compiz and included support for "Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine" on the Mac. A few improvements have been made for City of Heroes gamers, but also for Spore fans and WoW: (WotLK) fanatics.

Lastly, the software has been slapped with an updated Wine version to complement all the enhancements and fixes making their way into this release.
