With CyberLink's new MediaStory app

The ability to create slideshows on a mobile device seems to be among the most entertaining ones, especially as you can share them with friends anytime, anywhere. CyberLink developer has just announced a new application that enables iPhone, Android and Facebook users to make slideshows from their smartphone photos. Called MediaStory, the app also promises users the possibility to upload their custom-made slideshows to their Facebook account.

People can conveniently snapshot images of their daily life and CyberLink MediaStory gives them the convenience to turn their photos into spectacular stories presented in a stylish slideshow to share with their friends on Facebook.”

Some of the main features of the slideshow creator include: creation of slideshows from Facebook photos, iPhones and Android phones; upload slideshows to Facebook directly from iPhone and Android phones; animate slideshows with creative themed templates and background music; personalization of slideshows with subtitles; share slideshows on Facebook wall and allow sharing comments with friends; option to display slideshows on Showcase to reach a wider audience.

Besides the software that targets iPhone and Android devices, MediaStory is also available as a Facebook application where users can create animated slideshows from photos in their albums. Commenting over the slideshows is possible once they're uploaded on Facebook.

The slideshow creator is available in 9 languages (English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and Korean) and can be purchased from the iTunes App Store and Android Market.

The smartphone version of MediStory comes with 6 pre-designed templates for various occasions and can be acquired for US$2.99. MediaStory for Facebook is a free app and comes with 3 pre-designed templates to animate photos. Users can get additional templates for US$0.99 each.
