The folks at MacPaw have released an update to their all-in-one cleaning utility for Mac OS X, CleanMyMac. Now at version 1.9.4, the utility adds a missing uninstaller to correctly uninstall applications that were downloaded from Apple’s Mac App Store.

According to MacPaw, this update is recommended for everyone, and is free for all existing CleanMyMac users.

“If you have any problems with the update procedure, it is recommended to download the newest version directly from our web-site,” the company states.

The list of changes from version 1.9.3 starts with AppStore Compatibility - “Added missing uninstaller to correctly uninstall AppStore Applications,” MacPaw explains.

Additional enhancements include iOS firmware cleanup (added to Trashes & Leftovers), an updated Ignore list, and several bug fixes. These include:

- Fixed binaries cleanup issue when running under Rosetta.   - Fixed missing iPhoto caches cleanup. - "Sytem Junk" module reliability improved and fixed issues with python applications. - Some minor Bugs fixed.

It is unclear what it is that MacPaw changed in CleanMyMac to make uninstalling Mac apps more reliable, but the cleaning tool runs as smoothly as always, Softpedia can confirm.

MacPaw recently introduced Ensoul, an application exclusively available from Apple’s Mac App Store “which gives your iPhone a little soul,” according to the company.

MacPaw designed Ensoul so that it makes it a breeze to create full-sized Contact Photos and great looking Wallpapers.

Users simply drag images into the app’s interface, or select them from their Media Library for editing.

Various editing tools let users crop, zoom, rotate, modify colors, add textures, as well as apply effects to the imagery. When finished, the user can simply upload their image creations to their iPhone using iTunes.
