Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia seems set to transform its Comes With Music service into Ovi Music Unlimited. The company already made the change in various markets around the world, and it seems that it would soon perform it in more countries, including the UK, as it already informed its users.

“We are excited to tell you that Comes With Music will soon be part of Ovi,” is what an email sent to Comes With Music users stated.

The re-branding should be accompanied by a major marketing campaign, which would tout the new name for the service, which was reported on several months back for the company's service in India.

“Along with a new name and a sleek new look that is easier than ever to use, with Ovi Music Unlimited (formerly Comes With Music) you'll still have access to millions of free tracks, plus, a faster, easier way to browse, search and download music,” the aforementioned email continued.

Users are advised not to make changes to their account details until the move is completed, but no specific details on when that would happen emerged.

Nokia launched the Comes With Music service in the UK in late-2007, and previous reports on the matter suggested that it has seen fewer than expected adopters.

The service enables users to download as much music as they want for free for a certain period of time, usually a 12-month time frame.

One of the main reasons for which the service hasn't been as appealing as expected is said to be the fact that it does not offer DRM-free songs, just as other similar services do.

However, the move from Comes With Music to Ovi Music Unlimited might not be related to the number of subscribers the service enjoys at the moment.

Nokia started a few months ago to move its services under the Ovi umbrella, and Ovi Music Unlimited comes joins the family of services such as Ovi Maps, Calendar, Ovi Player, and others.
