14 DAY TRIAL // Civilization: Revolution is the re-imagining for consoles of the classic PC game, with Sid Meier taking charge of development for the first time after overseeing that of Civilization IV for the PC. The game is delivering a very interesting console experience, with a story that is a bit more shallow than the usual Civilization session, while keeping most of the gameplay mechanics that the original game pioneered.
Now 2K, which is distributing the game created by Firaxis, is announcing a slew of promotions that its potential buyers can enjoy. They are only available from selected game shops in Canada and in the United States and offer really interesting bonuses. All the wonders and artifacts which will be added to the game will only be available in single player, because multiplayer games might become imbalanced if one of the players has one wonder pack and the others do not.
The special promotion is available from GameStop/EB, BestBuy, Target and Circuit City. Each of the packs offers three wonders and three artifacts which will bring new strategic options for the player. The packs themselves are not integrated in the games. The player will get a voucher or a token that can be redeemed online when the packs become available later in July. It seems that all the packs will be available on Xbox Live Marketplace and on PlayStation Network Store later in September.
But the real gem in the promotion is the chance to get your hands on the impressive Communist Lincoln poster which accompanies this article.
