Are you ready to build the city of your dreams?

The original City Life game was considered to be a title that can compete against the well-known Sim City and indeed it did. And while the latest Sim City opted for better (maybe even a little cartoonish) visuals, an easier gameplay and minimized the importance for city management, City Life Edition 2008 sticks to the original. I might even dare to say that City Life is now what Sim City used to be.

No, I'm not talking about poor graphics or such, since this game really looks incredible. I am talking about huge buildings, giant towers and so on. City Life 2008 seems to be a real feast for the hardcore sim gamers.

It comes with some new cool features, such as an updated editor which allows players to import real life satellite maps. Just imagine how cool it would be to get your city's map and rebuild it as you see fit! And just to be sure that you'll have everything you need in order to (re-)create your own city, City Life Edition 2008 promises a total freedom of construction and brings 60 more buildings for you to choose from, which means that you will actually have 360 buildings. And if that's not enough, or you just don't feel like importing real life satellite images, the game comes with an extra 10 maps.

Of course, creating a good looking city is not enough, as you will soon realize. You'll also have to provide comfort and an overall satisfaction for your citizens by offering them work, health care, entertainment and so on. You will see that it's not as easy as it seems in the first place, since you have to check and adjust the taxes - if you don't manage to do all these, the situation can deteriorate into conflicts, riots and so on.

The game will be published in North America by Paradox Interactive and it is set for a May 2008 release. It will be available for purchase in retail shops and as digital download via GamersGate.
