14 DAY TRIAL // Christina Aguilera, who is now divorcing her producer husband Jordan Bratman, has stepped out in the company of a man identified as production assistant Matthew Rutler, whom she met while shooting “Burlesque.” He’s nothing but trouble, says a new report.
As we also informed you a while back, the first sign that Christina was back in the dating game came when she went on a double date with Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, and she did her best to hide her date from the paparazzi.
At the time, it was believed the date was Benji – but soon afterwards, word got out that it was actually Matthew Rutler, one of her best friends, whom she was now dating.
A few days ago, the two were photographed holding hands, thus confirming that they had upgraded their friendship to a blossoming romance. Star magazine claims to have done some digging on the diva’s new man – and he’s trouble.
“In the Dec. 6 issue of Star, on sale now, we report that the Burlesque star is jumping from a bad marriage to a risky romance with production assistant Matthew Rutler, who’s also a guitarist in the Nate Mott Band,” Star writes.
“Christina met the New Jersey native last February on the set of Burlesque when she was still married to Jordan Bratman and they developed a secret friendship. Now, with her divorce in the works, she’s moving on – quickly! – and has officially been dating Matthew since September,” the tab further writes.
According to sources close to Aguilera, the pop diva is completely head over heels with her new man, but he’s not in it for something serious, which could mean she’s on the path of getting her heart broken.
“Christina is completely taken with Matthew. But he’s a wild rocker type with a reputation as a ladies’ man,” the unnamed insider reveals for the magazine. Moreover, he may also be using Aguilera for publicity.
“He networks like crazy with all the big names she introduces him to. He’s a major operator. And everything is on her dime, because he’s broke. Matt used to live in a crummy apartment with roommates; now he’s at her Beverly Hills mansion every night. He’s in heaven!” the same spy dishes.
Friends of the singer are reportedly very worried about her because she’s clearly only trying to rebound with Matthew, while he’s using her as much as he can.
“Everyone is concerned that it’s too much, too soon,” another source also says for Star.
