Far from spending her days thinking of new ways to torture her body to drop a few dress sizes, Christina Aguilera embraces her new figure and would not change it for anything in the world. She’d advise anyone else to do the same with their own body.

The singer and television personality is featured in the October issue of Lucky Mag, whose online preview has just been released.

Fans know that Christina has a new season of The Voice and a brand new album to promote but, even so, not many will be surprised to find that she’s also talking about her figure in the Lucky interview.

Considering that this is all the tabloid media and gossip blogs have been talking about ever since she divorced Jordan Bratman and gained some weight, it would have been odd if Christina didn’t tackle the topic, come to think of it.

No matter how much the glossies focus on her curvier figure and how much criticism she gets for it, Christina is happy with the way she looks, she says.

“Actually, the challenge I've always had is being too thin,” the singer says, referring to how she looked a few years ago.

“So I love that now I have a booty, and obviously I love showing my cleavage,” Christina adds.

That’s hardly a secret. Still, Christina underlines, the most important part of an outfit isn’t the outfit itself but how the wearer feels in it.

“Hey, if you can work it and you can own it, that confidence is going to shine through,” she says. She’s obviously not lacking in this department.

As noted above, for months on end, Christina has been at the receiving end of harsh criticism for her looks: it’s not so much that she gained weight that her critics picked on, but rather that she continued dressing as if she was still rail thin.

Clearly, she disagrees: it’s all about the confidence.
