Christina Aguilera has been working hard to get back into the game, with all her efforts concentrated in her upcoming studio album, which has “Your Body” as leading single. Asked to describe it in just one word, the star says “rebirth” is perhaps the most suitable.

After the underwhelming “Bionic,” which was the only album from Christina not to go platinum, the pop star has been through a lot – and it will all be plain to see on the material on the new album.

In a new interview with The Huffington Post, Christina describes the imminent release, her “comeback” album as it’s been dubbed in the press, a culmination of “everything I've experienced up until this point.”

“I've been through a lot since the release of my last album, being on (The Voice), having had a divorce. This is all sort of a free rebirth for me,” she says.

Indeed, Christina has been through a lot and few of it pleasant since “Bionic.” As critics and the media turned on the one they once used to call The Voice because of the album, her personal life became tabloid fodder as husband Jordan Bratman filed for divorce.

This was followed by a string of less than fortunate media appearances and lots of speculation on whether Christina was drowning her divorce sorrows in booze.

Things started taking up for her when she signed on for The Voice, a direct competitor to already established music competition American Idol and the newcomer X Factor.

She also found love again and, at the same time, went back to the studio to work on new music.

“I'm embracing many different things, but it's all feel-good,” she says of the album, which contains, as she puts it, tracks that are “’superexpressive’ and fun, with moments that are ‘supervulnerable’.”

“In the fashion that I always like to put forth, it's very self-expressive and it's all heartfelt,” she says.

The first track off it is “Your Body,” produced by the same man who gave us “Moves Like Jagger,” a collaboration with The Voice co-judge Adam Levine, Max Martin.

As we also informed you a few days ago, Christina is already shooting a video for it. Levine said of the track, which leaked earlier this month as a demo, that he hated Christina for coming up with it.
