A week after he was rushed to the hospital with severe abdominal pains following a presumed 36-hour cocaine binge, Charlie Sheen is speaking out. In a statement to the media, the actor says a heartfelt thank you to supporters.

As we also noted the other day, because Sheen must seek some sort of treatment for his problems, whatever they may be, his show “Two and a Half Men” has been put on indefinite hold.

Reports in the media say that his absence may last anywhere from 1 to 3 months, which means no episode of the popular sitcom will be shot in the meantime.

Sheen is very aware that his problems have caused a lot of headaches to people, from his fans at home to producers of “Two and a Half Men,” which is why he’s seeking help for them.

“I have a lot of work to do to be able to return the support I have received from so many people,” Sheen says in a statement released by his publicist to People magazine.

“I want to say, ‘Thank-you’ to my fellow cast members, the crew of Two and a Half Men, and everyone at CBS and Warner Bros… for their concern and support,” the actor further says.

“Like Errol Flynn, who had to put down his sword on occasion, I just want to say, ‘Thank-you.’ And to my fans, your good wishes have touched me very much,” Charlie adds.

Despite rumors to the contrary over the weekend, Charlie Sheen is not rehab. Though no official announcement has been made in this sense, it is believed he’s seeking treatment at home, where he’s now living with an addiction expert who will help him deal with his issues.

Production on “Two and a Half” men will not resume until he’s completed the treatment and a doctor gives him the ok to return to work.
