14 DAY TRIAL // The white-themed Motorola DROID RAZR made its debut at Verizon Wireless on December 15 and the handset maker already found a way to raise the excitement around the new version of the smartphone.
Beginning December 20 through December 25, Grammy Award Winning recording artist Cee Lo Green will be the main actor in an L.A. scavenger hunt for the Motorola DROID RAZR in white.
Motorola Mobility is giving away white DROID RAZR smartphones, which are hidden within the Los Angeles area. Throughout the day Cee Lo Green will tweet clues to its location in order to direct competitors on this scavenger hunt.
Only the first three L.A. residents who successfully located Cee Lo’s holiday elf carrying the white DROID RAZR will have the chance to win the smartphone.
Those who wish to compete in this holiday scavenger hunt are required to follow Cee Lo Green on Twitter for clues. On the other hand, those who are not in Los Angeles area at the time of the scavenger hunt can still win a white DROID RAZR.
All they need to do is follow Motorola’s Twitter account and send a public message with the hashtag #WhiteRazrXmas and they will be qualified for a chance to win one of the six white DROID RAZR smartphones that Motorola is giving away this holiday.
The white flavor of the DROID RAZR features the same specs sheet as the standard black variant, which was introduced in the United States last month.
The device is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, but Motorola already confirmed plans to upgrade the DROID RAZR to Ice Cream Sandwich in early 2012.
It is built with KEVLAR fiber, Corning Gorilla Glass display and splash-guard coating. With MotoCast application users will be able to Steam or download multimedia content from a PC directly to the phone.
In the same news, Motorola is running a special promotion at Verizon. Customers who purchase the DROID RAZR with a new two-year agreement will receive $100 (75 EUR) off a DROID XYBOARD tablet and $50 off select Motorola accessories.
