Casio's G-Shock series of watches is already quite well-known throughout the world, and now, it seems that that company has decided to add yet another very interesting model to this lineup, namely the Frogman (GF1000BP-1), designed specifically to meet the needs of users who're simply in love with water sports.

For this reason, the new Casio timepiece has been equipped with a very solid, stainless steel case, that's also been wrapped in resign and equipped with a screw-lock on the back side, all of which help the watch resist water pressure down to a depth of around 200 meters.

Furthermore, in order to grant users an enhanced level of freedom, the watch also sports an asymmetric design that allows additional room for wrist movement, plus a deep wave band that should ensure a comfy fit either directly on the skin or over the sleeve of a wetsuit.

However, the Frogman from Casio holds a lot more surprise, such as the built-in solar panel placed in the watch's face, that, coupled with the large-size battery found within the timepiece, provides enough power for all of the watch's functions.

And since we're on this topic, it's interesting to mention that this timepiece has plenty of cool features going for it, such as a Dive Log to record dive times, a Full Auto EL backlight for nighttime or underwater operation, four daily alarms and a snooze alarm, world time, 12/24 Hr formats and 1/100 second chronograph.

Plus, Tide Graph, Moon Age & Phase Data features are also available.

Given its advanced features, we sort of expected the Frogman G-Shock Casio watch to be quite on the expensive side, and to be perfectly honest, that's pretty much the case, given the fact that the timepiece is set to go officially on sale starting with April 2011 for $675.
