14 DAY TRIAL // The contents of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Hardened Edition have been leaked before the upcoming Call of Duty XP event, showcasing just what sort of exclusive things loyal fans of the series will receive in exchange for some extra money.
Activision is getting ready for this weekend's Call of Duty XP conference where it will reveal a variety of details about the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 video game, as well as the Call of Duty Elite online service.
We've already heard quite a few details about the new game earlier this week, including the possibility of folding scopes on the weapons of the player, as well as the fact that Valve's Steamworks will be supported by Modern Warfare 3 on the PC platform.
Now, thanks to Wired, the contents of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 edition have been leaked before their presumed reveal at the Call of Duty XP conference, showcasing just what fans can get in exchange for a bit of extra cash when buying the new first-person shooter.
According to the photo of a game's poster, the Hardened Edition includes:
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 game with unique disc art. - One year of membership in Call of Duty Elite. - "Founder status" on Elite with exclusive in-game emblem, player card, camouflage, clan XP boost and other exclusive benefits. - SteelBook case. - PlayStation Network exclusive: "Animated Timeline Theme." - Xbox 360 exclusive: "Special Ops Juggernaut Xbox Live Outfit." - Limited-edition "field journal" with more than 100 pages of "authentic military sketches, diagrams and written entries." The Hardened editions of Call of Duty games have usually included quite a lot of impressive things, but their prices have grown exponentially, given the huge popularity of the series. No word yet on how much the Modern Warfare 3 Hardened edition will cost, but you can bet it's way more than the $60 price of the regular game.
Fans should also expect the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Prestige Edition to be revealed this weekend at Call of Duty XP.
