The contents of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Hardened Edition have been leaked before the upcoming Call of Duty XP event, showcasing just what sort of exclusive things loyal fans of the series will receive in exchange for some extra money.

Activision is getting ready for this weekend's Call of Duty XP conference where it will reveal a variety of details about the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 video game, as well as the Call of Duty Elite online service.

- "Founder status" on Elite with exclusive in-game emblem, player card, camouflage, clan XP boost and other exclusive benefits.
- SteelBook case.
- PlayStation Network exclusive: "Animated Timeline Theme."
- Xbox 360 exclusive: "Special Ops Juggernaut Xbox Live Outfit."
- Limited-edition "field journal" with more than 100 pages of "authentic military sketches, diagrams and written entries."

The Hardened editions of Call of Duty games have usually included quite a lot of impressive things, but their prices have grown exponentially, given the huge popularity of the series. No word yet on how much the Modern Warfare 3 Hardened edition will cost, but you can bet it's way more than the $60 price of the regular game.

Fans should also expect the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Prestige Edition to be revealed this weekend at Call of Duty XP.
