At last, Burn Zombie Burn! from developer doublesix has an official release date. The zombie shooter will arrive on the PlayStation Network service for the PlayStation 3 on March 26 and will be available for download for all those who are interested in some post zombie apocalypse gameplay with a more casual inclination.

Sony Computer Entertainment America is giving Burn Zombie Burn! a special treatment, because the game is an exclusive release for the PSN. There will be a Trophy competition for dedicated players and one focusing on high scores that can bring players a holiday abroad, which is set to be zombie-themed.

Sony is also offering artwork from the game signed by the creators and T-shirts, that are only available in a limited number, set to be featuring the characters from the game. doublesix is also contributing to the launch by offering three pieces of exclusive content related to Burn Zombie Burn!. Those interested can get a strategy guide full of tips and tricks, an eight-page long comic book, and a selection of music tracks related directly to zombies.

Burn Zombie Burn! is a classic top down view shooter in which players compete in order to get the highest score possible. There are six stages, all of them depicting the various locations that Americans have come to associate with killing zombies, like malls and abandoned houses. The game protagonist, named Bruce, has to set up explosions and take out chains of zombies in order to rake in as many points as possible before the horde takes him out. There's no way you can survive a stage, so the next best thing is to take as many zombies as possible with you.

Burn Zombie Burn! is fast, adrenalin-filled and hectic and has a great replayability value, especially when you think about the Trophies and the online leaderboards that Sony will set up. Get it on March 26!
