14 DAY TRIAL // Although she initially charged at the media for jumping on her dad for saying that he could have killed his soon to be former wife “like O.J. Simpson,” Brooke Hogan is now opening up more about her personal life. Among the topics up for discussion: Linda Hogan’s relationship with a 19-year-old man and, seemingly, a drug habit that has pushed her away, all courtesy of a new interview with OK! Magazine.
As a rule, the Hogans are usually very private when it comes to matters that they deem important, such as family life is. In a strange turn of events, though, Brooke is breaking the silence to reveal that Linda, her own mother, may have pushed her aside with her irrational choices, among which there is also a drug habit fueled by her much younger boytoy. In the candid interview, Brooke also hints that she is not on speaking terms with Linda anymore, precisely because she won’t listen to kind advice and is simply allowing herself to go with the flow, no matter where it may take her.
“I had a talk with her and I said, ‘I think everyone in America knows why I won’t accept Charlie.’ But what people don’t know is that he’s a bad influence on her. She’s not staying as healthy as she should be. He’s 19, he can party his [expletive] off. She’s 48. I said, ‘Mom, if you want to have a relationship with me you have to dump Charlie.’ It’s not because of his age. If he were 5 years old and a good influence on her then that would better.” Brooke says for the mag as regards her not approving of the recently forged relationship.
Linda, on her part, just won’t listen to kind words, so Brooke had to resort to what she now defines as “tough love.” “I’m just not happy with the situation because of their poor judgment – with what they do… I know there are things that could damage her health and make her get old really quick. I don’t want to see that happen. I’m trying to stick to the tough love thing. I’m just staying away until she wakes up. In order for me to keep my sanity, I have to love her from afar. We are totally different women. I’m straightlaced, don’t do drugs, stick to my regimen. It’s different there.” Brooke Hogan further explains.
Judging by the past Hogan-related incidents, Linda should be issuing a press statement any minute now, lashing out at her daughter for lashing out at her in the first place. Keep an eye on this space for when that happens.
