14 DAY TRIAL // The official music video for Britney Spears’ latest single, the ballad “Perfume,” has been released and, as usual, it’s available for your viewing pleasure in full and in HD above.
“Perfume” is lifted off the album “Britney Jean” and is the second official single, after the chart-topping “Work,” which came out before the album.
“Perfume” is also the first Britney Spears ballad in many years and she and her people have made sure its visual companion rose to such a special occasion.
As you can see for yourself, it tells a story of love, heartbreak, and infidelity, with Britney’s handsome boyfriend sleeping with another woman behind her back.
Some time ago, when asked if “Perfume” was inspired by anything she’d lived through recently, Britney said it “hit close to home,” which prompted lots of speculation about how Jason Trawick, her ex-fiancé, probably cheated on her and that’s why they broke up. Of course, Britney never confirmed that, so all we’re left with is a guess.
