14 DAY TRIAL // Trace Cyrus, the older brother of Disney star Miley Cyrus, is about to become a dad. He and his girlfriend of a few months, Brenda Song, have just learned they’re expecting their first child together, a new report suggests.
Though the two hadn’t even properly stepped out in public together as a couple yet at the time they learned of the pregnancy, Celebuzz says they’re ecstatic about the idea of becoming parents.
For the time being, confirmation from either star or their publicists is yet to come, so know to take this with a grain of salt.
“Big congrats to Brenda Song and Trace Cyrus! The couple is expecting their first child together, Celebuzz can exclusively report,” the e-zine says.
It doesn’t say where it got confirmation of the pregnancy or offer more details, but it promises the story is genuine.
“The Social Network star and Miley Cyrus‘ brother have been quietly seeing each other for several months, but made their first appearance together on the red carpet at Nylon’s party in early May,” the same report reads.
“Trace was previously linked to Demi Lovato. It was rumored Brenda briefly dated Joe Jonas,” adds the e-zine.
Indeed, a couple of years ago, Trace and Demi dated. In July 2009, he issued a statement to announced they’d broken up and to explain what it was exactly that went wrong with the relationship, in what was deemed a completely unnecessary gesture.
For all it’s worth, Trace had only nice things to say about his ex, blaming the split on their busy touring schedules and their immaturity and, to a certain extent, unwillingness to make a long-distance romance work.
“We gave it a shot and that’s all you can do. Every time I hung out with that girl or talked on the phone with her, it was amazing. She’s someone I can totally relate to,” Trace said, as we also reported at the time.
The age difference also played a part in the split.
