While the huge revamp is still in the works, Blogger is tying up some loose ends, introducing a few small features and changes. The custom favicon support, which debuted a couple of months back for Blogger in Draft, the labs version of the site, is now available to all.

The mobile templates, which were also introduced recently, now have support for side swipes for navigating between posts.

This feature is becoming common place on smartphones or tablets, touch devices in general.

Finally, support for the +1 button has been expanded to the individual blog pages, not only for single posts.

Static pages are a relatively new addition to Blogger in their own right.

"Over the last few days we’ve rolled out a handful of updates, all of which are available to everyone right now," Blogger's Brett Wiltshire announced.

Custom favicon support enables users to add their own favicons, which will show up next to the title in browser tabs, to replace the very familiar, but also very un-original Blogger logo favicon.

The feature has been expanded since it first landed, there is now support for all image types, JPG, PNG, GIF and so on, not just the ICO format initially supported.

"Adding to the featureset of our new mobile templates, you can now navigate through your mobile view with swipe navigation. This new navigation option lets you swipe through individual blog posts in a way that should feel very familiar for mobile and tablet users," Google added.

Support for the Google +1 button was introduced exactly two months ago. At the time, bloggers could add it to individual blog posts alone, but they can also add it to pages now.

The +1 button is now an option for the sharing widget for Pages. Now that Google+ is going strong, the +1 button could prove important for many users.
