Regional carrier SaskTel operating in Saskatchewan has just introduced the BlackBerry Torch 9860 for as low as $129.99 with a new three-year agreement.

Customers who do not want to commit to a long term contract are required to pay $549.99 outright.

To make things even more interesting, SaskTel offers a $100 activation credit to every customer who purchases any device, which reduces the cost of the Torch 9860 considerably.

Empowered by the new BlackBerry 7 OS and Liquid Graphics, the smartphone offers users an incredible multimedia experience, especially when watching videos, playing games or browsing through their photos.

In this regard, the Torch 9860 comes with a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and auto focus, which is capable to capture 720p HD videos.

BlackBerry Torch 9860 is a full-touch smartphone and features a large 3.7-inch capacitive touch screen display, which is the largest on a BlackBerry smartphone yet.

The screen boasts 16 millions colors support for a brilliant viewing experience, and provides a smooth, accurate and fast typing experience.

In addition, the handset comes with a new BlackBerry browser that offers very fast page load times, better web-based gaming, HTML5 video support and seamless scrolling and zooming.

Another interesting feature that turns the Torch 9860 into one useful tool is the voice-activated universal search function.

Furthermore, speech-to-text translation allows users to look for files, email, contacts and music without using their hand to type.

The phone comes pre-loaded with several augmented reality apps like the WikiTude World Browser that allows users to learn about their surroundings in real-time.

The Torch 9860 packs 8 GB of internal storage, 768 MB RAM, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), as well as Wi-Fi and NFC capabilities.

Other highlights of the smartphone include: Push Email, GPS with A-GPS support (BlackBerry maps), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP support
