One new mobile phone that seems set to make an appearance on the market in the near future is the BlackBerry Style 9670, a clamshell device that has just received FCC approvals, and which was spotted both in Sprint's internal systems, and in a video preview, embedded below.

The new handset from the Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion already made it into the wild a few times before, and most of its specifications should be familiar to you.

The BlackBerry Style 9670 smartphone sports a flip form factor, complemented by a full-QWERTY keyboard, and the newly unveiled Blackberry 6 OS on board.

However, there are still a series of details on this device that have not been unveiled officially for the time being, including info on the wireless carriers that would add it to their airwaves, or info on when it would be released on shelves, and at what price tag.

However, some more info on it emerged courtesy of FCC, which approved the dual-mode CDMA phone, which suggests that we're to see the handset landing both at Sprint and Verizon Wireless in the United States.

On top of that, the FCC documentation unveiled the fact that BlackBerry Style 9670 would pack Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity options.

As the successor of some other Blackberry clamshell devices, the new BlackBerry Style 9670 should pack features already familiar to enthusiasts, though some of them would be greatly enhanced by the new BlackBerry 6 OS the handset runs under.

A new web browser can be put on the list, along with enhanced multimedia and social networking connectivity options, and a series of design changes when it comes to the platform's menus.

The BlackBerry Style 9670 can be seen in two videos embedded at the bottom of this article (via CrackBerry), one of them presenting the device next to other handsets.

The second video features the new smartphone running under firmware 6.0.0.203, and should offer a better look at the platform itself.
