Owners of a BlackBerry Q10 smartphone on the networks of Canadian wireless carriers Rogers, Bell and TELUS can now download and install a new software update on their devices, namely OS version 10.1.0.1720.

However, although this is a new software update, users will see it available on their devices as version 10.1.0.273, which, as CrackBerry notes, is already present on smartphones.

The platform flavor loaded on Q10 devices at these wireless carriers should be OS 10.1.0.1483 at the moment, yet the update will push it up to the aforementioned OS 10.1.0.1720.

The new software release is said to have 127MB, and many users should have already received it, it seems. If not, it will be delivered to them shortly, though they can also head over to the settings section in the phone’s menu to perform manual checks for it.
