Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion has just unveiled the dates and locations for the BlackBerry DEVCON Europe and the BlackBerry DEVCON Asia events that were initially announced during the BlackBerry World conference 2011 in May.

The leading handset vendor announced that the BlackBerry DEVCON Asia, the second of the kind, is set to take place in Bangkok, Thailand, and that it will be held in December. Unfortunately, the specific dates will have to be unveiled at a future time.

As for BlackBerry DEVCON Europe, which is the very first event of the kind the company holds, RIM says that it will be held in Amsterdam, and that the specific dates are February 7th and 8th, next year.

“We are excited to expand these events as this gives us an opportunity to talk to you about the latest in BlackBerry development, as well as giving you the opportunity to share your experiences and showcase your applications with your community,” RIM announced.

“As such, there is no better way to share your story than to answer the Call for Papers,” the leading handset vendor continues.

Those who did not submit their papers as of yet still have some time to do so, as the deadlines for submissions have been extended.

For BlackBerry DEVCON Asia, the new deadline is Friday, July 15th, while for BlackBerry DEVCON Europe is has been set for Friday, September 16th.

For the time being, the exact details on registration have not been unveiled, but that should change shortly. Info on pricing should emerge soon as well, so stay tuned to learn the necessary details on this.

Those application developers interested in learning additional info on these events can always head over to the BlackBerry DEVCON website. While there, they can also register for the BlackBerry DEVCON Americas, provided that they want to participate.
