14 DAY TRIAL // Although Bell has already confirmed that it will release both BlackBerry Bold 9900 and Torch 9810 smartphones on August 16, it looks like their stocks have been 'hijacked' by Best Buy.
The Canadian retailer Best Buy is now selling Bell's BlackBerry Bold 9900 and Torch 9810 for $169.99 with a new three-year agreement.
Future Shop, another Canadian retailer, reports that it has physical stocks of Bold 9900 and Torch 9810 smartphones, though they are only available for purchase in-store.
However, it appears that Bell will offer both smartphones without the Wi-Fi hotspot functionality, which is not specified by neither of the two major retailers.
Even though Bell states that the feature will be available post launch via a software update, the information should have been shared if true.
Nevertheless, BlackBerry fans who are dying to get their hands on either the Bold 9900 or Torch 9810 should pay a visit to the nearest Future Shop store to get them.
The BlackBerry Torch 9800, Torch 9810 comes with the same 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display, but with a slightly higher 480 x 640 pixels resolution.
Both Torch 9810 and Bold 9900 are powered by RIM's latest BlackBerry 7 operating system and pack 8GB storage, 768 MB RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
In addition, the smartphones come with QWERTY keyboard and a 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording capabilities.
Each are equipped with 1.2 GHz processors, Bold 9900 and Torch 9810 offer users a full array of connectivity options, including NFC support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS with A-GPS support.
On related news, Rogers is also offering both BlackBerry 7 smartphones starting today, but prices are a bit higher than Best Buy and Future Shop deals.
While Rogers BlackBerry Bold 9900 is available for as low as $249.99 with a new three-year contract, the Torch 9810 goes for $199.99 with the same three-year agreement.
