Canadian mobile phone maker BlackBerry has reportedly started to deliver a new software update for the BlackBerry Z10 smartphones out there, none other than the BlackBerry 10.1 platform that was confirmed last month.

According to a recent article on PhoneArena, the new platform upgrade is currently being pushed to smartphones out there, including those in Oman and the Philippines.

No official info on the matter has been offered as of now, though BlackBerry might confirm the launch soon, provided that it has indeed kicked it off.

BlackBerry 10.1 brings along a nice range of enhancements, including better camera responsiveness, a new HDR mode option, PIN-to-PIN messaging enabled via the BlackBerry Hub, various UI changes, and the like.

Given that the first users have already received access to the update, it should not be too long before full details on the deployment are provided, so stay tuned.
