Billy Murray sure knows how to party: the first ever guest on The Late Show with David Letterman was invited on the episode marking the 20th anniversary of the show, and he made sure it was something for the history books.

Check out the video above for confirmation of that, which shows his big entrance on set at the start of the interview.

In case you feel like you’re missing out on the joke, know that he’s dressed as Liberace. He even brought a white Rolls Royce, a Liberace-style outfit and a stand-in for Liberace’s rumored lover / protégé, Scott Thorson.

And oh my God look at that puppy! Even Letterman was surprised by it!

Perhaps even funnier was that Murray didn’t break character the moment he sat down, which is yet another proof of his awesomeness.

Enjoy!
