In what could be the scientific breakthrough of the millennium, a Stanford University researcher basically claims that men like playing video games more than women do. Duh! I am completely shocked by this,
I never ever, ever thought that men could like video games more than women do or, even worse, become game addicted. My entire vision about the world has been changed starting this very second and I am sure yours did the same.

It appears that a researcher from a Stanford University discovered, in a first of its kind study, that men are more likely to develop a video game addiction than women. It appears that the part of the brain that generates rewarding feelings is more active in men than women during video game play. Oh, really? And I always thought that women just love killing all sorts of aliens, drive the fastest cars and win the hardest races or spend nine hours straight to level up in their favorite MMORPG!

Apparently, in order to complete this study, the researcher, Dr. Fumiko Hayft, took a bunch of guys and girls, put them in front of a video game and said: "Game on!" then started to count. So, she discovered that, while playing, men seemed to naturally understand that conquering territory was an important victory condition, unlike the girls. Even though the name of the game they played was not revealed, nor the age of the candidates, I really believe that they were over-60 people that have never ever played a video game in their lives. I mean, come on! It's crystal clear that you have to conquer something, to do something, in order to win a game. And, probably, in order to complete a study you should test more games, more people, something like that, right?

It seems not and I'm not a scientist, anyway, so here's the discovery, again: the part of the brain that generates rewarding feelings is more active in men than women during video game play, which is the reason why men are more likely to become game addicted than women.
