She was too jealous, controlling, and had frequent fits of anger

Going in full damage control mode after rumors of cheating surfaced online, rapper Big Sean issued a statement to say that his engagement to “Glee” star Naya Rivera was off. In fact, he said, he had actually made the decision weeks before the actual announcement.

More details of the surprising breakup have emerged online and, to be perfectly honest, they don’t paint too pretty a picture of Naya because she might have killed all the love in the relationship by being a very controlling, very jealous, and quite scary partner.

After the breakup announcement, Naya went on her Twitter to accuse Big Sean of stealing an expensive Rolex watch from her house when he came to pick up his stuff. In response, his friends told the tabs that she was basically crazy and that she’d been acting weird for far too long – so the rapper finally called everything off when he could no longer stand it.

TMZ’s sources are saying the same, but with more juicy details. Apparently, the two had been in couples therapy for a few months, having already realized that things weren’t quite working out for them.

After a few sessions, Big Sean understood that he didn’t really want to be with Naya anymore because her behavior could be very scary at times: she had “violent fits of anger” and was very jealous, was controlling and would never hesitate to put him down verbally or even to threaten him.

“Our sources say Naya demanded to know where he was at all times and would threaten him by saying things like, ‘If you don't listen to what I say, I'll ruin your career.’ We're told she was suspicious whenever Sean was with other women and would work herself up into jealous rages... once breaking an expensive lamp during a rampage in his home,” TMZ reports.

The e-zine doesn’t say how Naya thought she could have “ruined” the rapper’s career since she’s not exactly A-list herself, but you get a sense of her self-importance with the tweet in which she accused him of theft, which she deleted shortly after it went online.

“@bigsean stealing Rolexes from a lady’s house now. Maybe cuz I’m on Glee and making more money or something. #triflin,” she wrote.

Insiders say that the Rolex wasn’t even hers to keep because she hadn’t bought it with her own money and she didn’t receive it as a gift: Big Sean bought it for himself and gave it to her to wear. It was a loaner, not a keeper, so he took it back when he dumped her.
