BenQ has recently introduced its first 3D Full HD home cinema projector, the W7000, which is expected to arrive later this month and will become the company’s most advanced offering for home theater setups.

At the heart of BenQ's W7000 stands the DLP Link technology which according to the company allows its creation to deliver crosstalk free 1080p Full HD 3D images to both eyes while also sporting a 50000:1 high contrast ratio.

The maximum brightness is estimated at 2000 ANSI lumens and the W7000 is also the first projector in the world to be accredited with the TUV Rheinland 3D Full HD Certification.

In addition, the projection lens is comprised only of glass-made elements in order to deliver more image details and better brightness performance, while also being able to match the Rec. 709 color gamut.

Other features include independent 3D color control, ISFccc certification, support for BenQ’s Eco mode, lamp life of up to 2500 hours, as well as support for both NTSC and PAL encoding systems.

The available video inputs include a pair of HDMI 1.4a port, a D-Sub connector, component video, and S-Video, while the integrated RS232 port can be used for controlling the projector remotely.

"This is certainly an exciting new chapter for us here at BenQ. What makes the W7000 so special is that it delivers what we call a real 3D home cinema experience," says Peter Chen, General Manager of BenQ Display Product Business Group.

"The W7000 allows you to enjoy 3D contents with 1080p Full HD resolution at both eyes. No crosstalk. No additional emitters or transmission devices required. Just fully immersive 3D enjoyment," concluded the company’s rep.

The BenQ W7000 will be available worldwide starting later this month, but no info regarding the pricing of this projector was announced.
