Electronic Arts and DICE are announcing that tomorrow will be a joyous day for all fans of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 as the developers will be pushing out a new patch for the first person shooter, which aims to fix the biggest problem now reported by the player base, the way the server browser and its associated user interface work.

DICE has long promised that it will make it easier for players to get into multiplayer matches, solving the hanging issues linked to the server browser and the problems linked with the fact that options are not remembered once they are set by the player.

The patch notes also mention that the developers have “Added weapon balance tweaks to a number of weapons - we are eagerly awaiting feedback!” which probably means that the big number of players who opted to use the Medic because of the usefulness of the M60 machine gun he carries should start looking around for other class options after the patch hits on Wednesday.

The patch notes, which can be consulted in full at the official site, also mentioned some fixes for the single player component of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and the addition of support for color blind players, which is quite a nice touch on the part of the developers. DICE and the publisher have promised that the game will be receiving more maps in the future, which will cost nothing for those who bought the game new.

Electronic Arts is saying that worldwide, Bad Company 2 has managed to sell more than 2.3 million copies since it was launched, becoming the biggest selling videogame of March according to internal figures. The NPD Group sales data for the United States market for the month show that the first person shooter sold 825,500 units on the Xbox 360 and 451,200 copies on the PlayStation 3, taking fourth and eighth place in the chart.
