All owners of Battlefield 3 on the PlayStation 3 console can now enjoy the Close Quarters expansion, as its timed exclusivity for those who bought the Battlefield Premium bundle expired, while PC and Xbox 360 owners can get it next week, on June 26th.

Battlefield 3 delivered an intense experience last year, getting many people hooked on its multiplayer mode.

After releasing a single expansion, developer DICE now launched a brand new DLC pack in the form of Close Quarters.

"Battlefield 3: Close Quarters is a themed expansion pack bringing the team play of Battlefield 3 to tight indoor environments. The frantic close quarters infantry combat is amplified by unprecedented high definition destruction, new ways to play, more weapons and added persistence," DICE said.

The add-on has already been made available for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 owners who purchased Battlefield Premium, and it is now making its way onto the platforms for those who didn't get the bundle.

First up are PS3 owners, who can already purchase the DLC via the PS Store. Meanwhile, PC and Xbox 360 owners will have to wait until June 26th for a chance to get the add-on.

In case you forgot, check out a brief description and a rundown of Close Quarters' features and contents below.

"The HD Destruction in Close Quarters lets players riddle the environment with bullets, reducing entire locales to ruin. Everything from furniture to plaster can be shot to pieces, and players can see the result of the mayhem as rubble and broken pieces pile up on the floor."

4 new maps with frantic and relentless infantry combat
HD Destruction that lets you reduce entire locales to ruin
10 new weapons that you can bring back to the base game
10 new Assignments to complete and 5 unique dog tags

Battlefield 3: Close Quarters is priced at $14.99 / €14.99 / 1,200 Microsoft Points, depending on your platform and region.
